The Night the Monsters Said "Boo!"
It was a dark and stormy night. The moon was hidden by clouds, and the only light came from glowing stars. Children were tucked safely in their beds, but deep in the woods, something strange was about to happen. Suddenly, a big creature with fiery eyes peeked out from behind a tree. He had pointy teeth and furry skin.
"Boo!" he yelled. Other beasties emerged from the trees, all shouting "Boo!" at the same time. They were having so much fun scaring each other! One little beastie was afraid. He didn't want to say "Boo!" because he thought it would be too scary. But then, a big beast with a kind smile said, "Don't worry, little one. It's just for fun! Let's all say 'Boo!' together." And so they did, laughing and having a great time on this spooky Halloween night.
A Friend the Friendly Ghost
It all started one sunny afternoon. I was drawing in my room when I heard a weird noise. It sounded like someone was laughing just outside my door. Curious, I slowly crept over and peeked through the keyhole. There, standing in my hallway, was the most amazing sight!
It was a medium-sized ghost with bright eyes and a grinning face. "Hello," it whispered. "My name is Wilbert, and I'm your new friend!"
I was so shocked that I could barely move. But then, I started to giggle because his sound was so nice.
We became the best of friends. He would often come in my room and we would talk together. He even taught me how to fly!

My Secret Buddy
When I first/began/started to see him, I was terrified. He was always there, watching/looking/peeking from the corner of my eye, but he never showed/appeared/came close. My parents thought I was being silly, but I knew better. This wasn't a game.
This invisible friend, who I named Blinky, turned out to be/wasn't so scary after all. He would whisper jokes/make funny noises/tell silly stories in my ear and he was always there to cheer me up/listen when I was sad. Now, looking back, I think he was just a lonely little ghost/spirit/phantom who wanted a friend too.
